Computing at Junction Farm
At Junction Farm Primary School, we recognise the importance of developing children’s understanding in computing and technology from an early age. The modern world relies on computing in all aspects of life, so it is vital that our pupils are exposed and given opportunities to develop the vast skills and knowledge needed to be confident and safe when using technology. This will prepare our pupils for everyday life, including their journey as life-long learners and their future careers.
Curriculum Intent:
- To understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science, including abstraction, logic, algorithms and data representation.
- To analyse problems in computational terms and have repeated practical experience of writing computer programs in order to solve such problems.
- To evaluate and apply information technology, including new or unfamiliar technologies, analytically to solve problems.
- To be responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology.
- To be proficient and safe of all technology, including practice involving the internet.
