Our sports crew at Junction Farm play a key role in ensuring sport is participated in across the school. They organise regular level one competitions, keep children active at playtimes and keep their sports crew notice board up to date.

We have twelve children in our Sports Organising Crew. Six children are in charge of KS1 and six children are in charge of KS2. Their job is to organise a level one sports competition every half term for their key stage area. The children have to decide on the style of competition, how the competition will run, where it will run in school, jobs for each member in the crew and the prizes for the children taking part.

At first playtime the twelve children are in charge of running a sports zone. Children across KS1 and KS2 can decide to take part in a wide range of sports from hockey, skipping, hoop net and hula hooping. The sports leaders decide drills, games and competitions to play within their zone. We have seen an increase in children participating in different activities and really enjoying their playtimes.
